FAQs
Find answers to common questions about our press and privacy policies below.
What’s the typical timeline for your projects?
Project timelines vary depending on any number of factors. Some geographic research questions can be answered quickly, while original map design can take longer depending upon complexity. The best way to evaluate a project scope and timeline is to send me an email with the project idea and requirements, and then follow up with an initial phone call to discuss.
Can I publish or use one of the images or maps from your site?
Yes, with attribution. Please credit “Hidden Landscape, map author: Justin Kray”. Maps published online should include a link to Hidden Landscape, where source material can be referenced. For high-resolution print media publication, feel free to send an inquiry via email.
Do you offer press kits?
Yes, I provide press kits upon request. I can generate press-ready images, interviews, and technical narrative context for your story. It all begins with an email.
Are higher-resolution maps available?
Resolution depends upon the type of graphics, but in most cases, higher resolution maps are nearly always available.
How can I use these maps in my organizing, classroom, or advocacy work?
These maps I create are communication tools that are meant to be highly legible, for ease of sharing to diverse audiences. The images I create have been used in private and public meetings, classrooms, conferences, public hearings, or email and social media based campaigns.
Do you work outside of Louisiana?
Yes. While the majority of my work is currently rooted in the Gulf South, I have prior significant experience mapping in other areas of the continental USA.
Do you offer print-ready maps or posters?
I can provide graphics in a variety of sizes and formats suitable for printing, online or web media, and community distribution.
